Looking for a
French Country style wedding theme?
Make sure to pick up the premiere issue of
FRENCH COUNTRY STYLE
this spring (not quite sure of the release date yet but not too far off...). Among the gorgeous stories we have an exquisite feature of a French country wedding. Here is a tiny tease....
****************
If you are planning a
SPRING BRIDAL SHOWER
these
budget-friendly ideas
might just be the ticket!
Since you can use a table and chairs you already have (chairs don't have to match!) and inexpensive materials this is a very easy and affordable setting to create. Though perfect for a garden party this will work equally well indoor.
*CANOPY: Start with creating a "canopy" over the table by tying a couple of layers of tulle to posts or tree branches. If there is nothing to fasten the canopy with over the table you can skip that part.
*TABLE: use any wood table and make a tulle skirt (tulle is very inexpensive and comes in all colors). Fasten skirt with velcro or push pins around the table. You will want to use several layers of tulle to create a "fluffy" skirt.
*CHAIRS: Dress up chairs with a wide "ribbon" of tulle tied into a big floppy bow. You can also add a sprig of flower of choice tied to the chair with a satin ribbon and also make a tulle "skirt" for each chair to complete the ethereal look.
*SILVERWARE: Tie silverware with satin ribbons. Add a fabric butterfly (or any other accents of choice)to keep the outdoor theme going.
GIFTS: Wrap gifts in wallpaper remnants or wrapping paper in colors similar to the main palette. Tie with satin ribbons.
*FLOWERS: Set flowers in old wood or tin buckets to continue the festive garden party feel.
*TREATS: Serve cupcakes with color-coordinated icing (another inexpensive treat!)
*GLASSES: Toast the bride-to-be with a drink (with or without alcohol) served in a tall glass embellished with a skinny ribbon glued onto the glass and a color sugared-rim.
*CANDLES: If the party is scheduled for later in the day/early evening, complete the look with candles set in color jars (you can use any kind of jars.
And VOILA! HAVE FUN WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE!!

Sooo beautiful Fifi, I can hardly wait for your new magazine!... those cupcakes are just adorable!... also, will you be doing any more Romantic Prairie Style magazines?... xoxo Julie Marie

Those are some fabulously gorgeous ideas. My younger girls will marry one day, perhaps I will use some of those ideas then. Meanwhile I will pin them. I hope you don't mind.
Have a wonderful day, my friend.
Hugs, Cindy
