Hello everyone!
I have been asked a lot if ROMANTIC PRAIRIE STYLE is an on line magazine. So, I wanted to clarify.
It is a national PRINT magazine with features by professional photographers and writers.
Though ROMANTIC PRAIRIE STYLE has a website it is NOT an on-line magazine. The website is just a "companion" to the PRINT magazine with behind the scenes little stories and updates.
The first issue (of the PRINT magazine) is done and will be off to the printer shortly then available on newsstands mid APRIL. It originally was going to be out this month but due to the printers's schedule it will be a bit late. Sorry!
Domestic and International subscriptions will become available in APRIL as well.
Meanwhile you can get sneak peaks HERE. As soon as I can I will post the cover so you will know what to look for but in the mean time you can go HERE to get a sense of the first issue. It's is quite fabulous, if I may say so myself. I hope you too will love it.
Thanks for checking in. xoxoxoxo

As for the THE ROMANTIC PRAIRIE COOKBOOK, I just found out (thanks to many of you) that it was released ahead of schedule and is now available on Amazon. Of course I hope you will like it also!
**************************
Between the magazine and the book needless to say that I have been in full "prairie mood", which prompted me to change many things in my own home. There is a lot more coming up but I only have so much time between shoot trips so stay tuned.......
It all started with repainting the kitchen and the living room (white again---they needed it!). Then I got this fabulous farmhouse table from my friends Susie & Mark'S beautiful Sarasota shop
It is a true PRAIRIE table: sturdy, heavy with just the right amount of wear and tear and how very cool is the side with holes for wooden spoons!
I also acquired some lovely linen sachets filled with lavender and goat milk soaps, and butcher twine from my "dreamy" friend
.....and a cool enamel canister set
Also, when we were shooting at my other lovely friend
LAURA'S farmhouse
she gifted me with this great bag
I finally found a spot to hang the PRAIRIE market basket I will (hopefully soon ) offer on line
I could not find the right curtains (and I don't sew!) for this tiny window so I ended up using 2 tea towels

Numerous fans of the incomparbale
JEANNE D'ARC LIVING
already know that the spring issue is available through various websites/blogs. I must say that I am very proud to be associated with this marvelous magazine. I have been working with JDL for over a year and it is truly a pleasure to be part of this spectacular publication.
Thank you Vivian and Lonnie for including me in your "family"!

ROMANTIC PRAIRIE STYLE LATEST POST
Then you know I had to say goodbye to my sweet kitty Lily before I left for Michigan. She had cancer and went very quickly. I am glad I did not let her suffer but I will miss her forever. She loved roses so I scattered her ashes around the bushes by my kitchen window. And look at the beautiful bloom that appeared.............
Many thanks for all the lovely emails you sent. I know you pet lovers understand how sad it is when our little friends leave us.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not to end on the sad note: Next time I will show you the living room transformations but here is a little glimpse.
After moving the furniture and painting the walls I repainted the floor (these shots taken with the cell phone---so not very good at all)
The windows are going to be replaced too.
This chair from Pottery Barn started the whole makeover but I won't be getting it for a few more weeks as it is a floor sample........
Still working on the living room new look......and when it is done I will tackle the bedrooms!
More soon.
G'day~I am so excited for the new Cookbook and the new magazine,I can hardly stand it! I thank you for all your hard work for all of us.I know it is a heavy load.We appreciate it greatly! Sorry about Miss Lily, puts a lil hole in our heart for sure.~
Your treasures are fabulous! Thanks for sharing ~Blessings & Cheers Kim
Oh Fifi! So desperately sorry to read about your loss of Lily. My heart aches for you. I get days when I get so worried about when I will loose my 2. How daft is that?
I hadn't realised you had the other Prairie blog. I will stick with Chez Fifi cos' this is my total fave!
Lots of lovely new goodies too. A treat for the eyes!
Keep well. You seem so busy, so remember to look after you!
Oh my Fifi,
That chair is to die for!!! And the little prairie curtains made form tea towels, so lovely!!~
I'm adding bits of red to my home here and there too, I think it makes the home so cheery!
I'm on the lookout for a smaller version of the table you have for my tiny studio. Off to the flea next Sunday in search of one.
Wishing you a beautiful week!~
Sincerely,
Melinda
Hi Fifi,
I am so sorry to hear that you lost your beloved Lily. May her rose always bloom and bring you happy memories.
Oh goodness - so many beautiful and fabulous things to look forward to with your magazine, cookbook and now your new Prairie style home - can't wait!! Love the red touches and your Pottery Barn chair and pillow - I bought the stripe pillows like your red stripe chair and love the new look - I paired mine with existing floral pillows and as a nod to your prairie style influence call my new look Prairie Garden. I even planted vegetables and herbs in pots this year!!! Thank you for your inspiration
Blessings and Best Wishes,
Erin and Bentley
There's nothing like a print magazine to hold onto & inspire for years & years to come. Still have the first magazine where I discovered your wonderful talent, which allowed me to dream of doing what spoke to my heart.
I can not wait to see Laura's features. She is one in a million. I hope many, many more people get to know her giving spirit and talent in décor and artistry too.
Peaceful wishes for you & sweet Lily. It's a difficult road to travel without a dear friend by your side.
Can't wait for the magazine to come out. I live in Alberta and hope to get to the Posh on Palm store someday. I think they used to be The Cats Meow? The table is wonderful. I also have the butcher twine from Dreamy Whites. Maria included in the package the Lavender sachet. What a nice surprise when I opened the box. It smells amazing. I am so sorry about your beautiful Lily. Over the past years we have lost our 2 Siamese cats they were both 18 years old. I miss them everyday.
Oh, sweet Fifi, I am so sorry for your loss. Our beloved furry children fill our hearts and homes with such unconditional love. Your rose is a lovely testament to Lily's love.
I just returned from a trip to Florida, and received notice that my ROMANTIC PRAIRIE COOKBOOK has shipped. I am so excited and can't wait to sit down over a cup of tea and take it all in.
Love what you are doing with your cottage. I too, use touches of red and black with my crisp whites.
Sending love, Mar
Hello dear Fifi,
It's so wonderful to hear from you, it's like a letter from a friend who lives far away. Ever since I learned that you lived in Winnipeg for several years I feel like I know you.
I look forward to seeing your magazine and I really want a subscription to it.
How lovely that you're re-doing your own little home, it's sure to be beautiful. It appears that you're adding more color, I love the red in your new canisters and the chair. I look forward to seeing how it all turns out.
I have repainted my little cottage and I'm considering sending you some photos, I am really liking the new color that I'm using.
Have a lovely day!
So sorry to hear of your huge loss with sweet Lily's death. The many years you shared your beautiful home with her will always bring you good memories though - and knowing how she was loved made her life very special. I miss my Tiny who was with us 21 years - still think of her although she left us 8 years ago!
Just home from Hawaii and have been dashing about looking for the magazine to no avail. Now I know why I can't find it yet! Off again next week so have left myself a note to check in mid April when I'm back from the other side of the globe once again!! Can't wait to see it - know it ill be fabulous......just like you Fifi!
Love the new projects at your home - I've missed doing much here lately, due to travel, but plan new things for the Summer when home for a while hopefully.......................the table with the spoons is gorgeous, and I'd love to have those painted floors.
Take care Fifi - hugs Mary (A Breath of Fresh Air)
So sorry about your kitty - I've lost our dog of 13 years and our cat who was 18 years old in the last year. It's not easy - especially when they get sick. The rose is beautiful - and what a perfect gift for each of you.
This was a great posting, Fifi. Full of lots of gorgeous photos and good info. My favorite piece is the farm table with the spoon slots. The most fabulous idea I've seen in a while. Thanks for that.
