It's always so much fun when you surface Galfriend:) Oh I have really good news. I finally after 3 months have my sconces!!! They were well worth the wait!! I love them!! They will be the inspiration pieces for my Girls Only room :) The carving is great too. When Eliot brought them down from Texas the box was open every time he got to another military check point. He wasn't sure why they couldn't tell the difference between candle sconces and guns but there you have it. Sadly I think the eggs must have been needed more by one of the agents cuz they didn't make it all the way here:( El, was never allowed to stand at the back of the truck with them as they threw stuff around. Next exciting thing is the new issue of Romantic Country should be showing up in our postal box any day!! :)

Fifi I really am impressed with your hearts!! You have done a beautiful job with aging them. I'm really loving the rust!!:) I want to put my order in now for one please!! They will look wonderful added to my heart collection!!

Take care kiddo and write when you can. Stop by my little house in Bloglandia when you have a minute :)

That shop seems like offering really nice stuff.
I am amazed by metal crowning for the vase - this is so simple and makes it so much easier to arrange flowers nicely, well rounded.
Greetings,

DENISE

I absolutly love the one with the crown! I think they look wonderful and the rust looks very authentic and old! I for one will definitely be watching to see how much they are!

Yes! I, too, love those metal hearts! How in the world did you figure out how to create them?? Wow. Then, why would I be surprised, considering all the other things that have come from your creative hands?? :)

Fifi,

What a great post! Made my day! The hearts are fab - especially love the crown one. They look so vintage, rust and all, and will definitely be a success. Hope you still have some "skin" left on your hands after this project. (By the way, I am photographing my studio tomorrow and will send photos. One project has spurned another and it is hard to stop. I have painted part of a wall with chalk board paint. Fun, Fun! My hands are spotted black like a Dalmatian today from this project.)
Your sisters work is wonderful - especially the silverware bag - so unique.
Doesn't this Florida spring weather bring out the creativity. Hugs, Marcy

I will finally get the chance (soon) to check out the Sarasota salvage yard that you mentioned awhile back...maybe I'll hunt out Laura's shop too!
