..............I don't know what I have done to deserve so many gifts but I love getting them! After receiving the beautiful crown and the Fifi sign from DENISE & HEATHER a couple of days ago, these delightful beauties arrived today................................................................
They are from lovely Tracie who, unfortunatley, does not have a blog! We have to do something about getting both her and Debbie to step into blogland, and Monique as well (you know who you are, Monique from Canada.....right???)
I believe TRACIE sent the little angel to watch over me. The shiny round balls are shower steamers.....I suspect somebody told TRACIE I was in need of a good hot shower since I have not taken one in 3 days, REALLY! In order to meet my deadlines I have not been out of the house or away from the computer (except to catch a few hours of sleep) but I did brush my teeth and my hair.............the kitties are sniffing me but not as they would a tasty morsel of roasted chicken, on the contrary, they are acting as if they found a dead fish........I will take a shower TONIGHT! Promise!!
I LOVE the tags. The heart with the crown is gorgeous and the little round one with the photo inside is made from a bottle cap. How clever!
TRACIE must have wanted to make sure I could read my (favorite....) magazine so she included a cool magnifying glass with a handle shaped like an evening gown. She understands my addiction to all things pretty, romantic and sparkly....and coffee! Hence the elegant "chandelier" mug with 3 different designs on it. Just PERFECT!
THANK YOU TRACIE! Now, you really need to start your own blog! We are waiting!!!!!xoxo Fifi

Between HEATHER & DEBBIE'S and TRACIE'S surprises, I also received a most beautiful necklace from my friend/editor, BARBARA. She told me it spoke to her when she saw it. "It said Buy me for Fifi." I am glad she did! It's so luminously beautiful....goes so well with my "baby-bleu eyes!" THANK YOU, Babette (that's what I call her.)

My sister, SYLVIE, has been making more hand-made treasures. Lately, it has been notebook covers and new pillows. Take a look.

Since Christmas is right around the corner, gift wrapping is in order. Here are a couple I made for a photo shoot....................................................
(Left) Great for the man (men?) in your life....(right) Pretty ribbons, an ornament and a pin..
You can make these romantic wreaths with fresh or silk flowers................................
or with traditional ornaments....................................................................
.................and these easy centerpieces can be assembled in minutes................
...............even breadsticks look festive all wrapped up and nesteld in a bit of (fake) snow and offered in a glass vase in lieu of a basket............................................little star croutons (use a cookie cutter to make the stars, sprinkled them with salt, pepper and herbes de Provence and cook in a little bit ot hot oil until golden) add crunch and holiday spirit to salads...........soooo easy!
...........to make this Christmas 'chandelier", all you need is a pot rack, ribbons, garlands, votie glasses and ornaments...............................and voila!..................................
JOEUX NOEL!

Thank you for sharing so much beauty Fifi - and in a fun way as always! Your sister's pillows are gorgeous (I just posted on pillows and how most men dislike them!)and I can see she found some beautiful French linens to use.
Looking forward to picking up the new Romantic Country and reading those articles....and seeing you inside the front cover - congratulations!
If you're ever headed in this direction (North Carolina) you might want to check out two fabulous gals, Susie and Anna who have a marvelous shop named SuzAnna's. They are such fun and their business is growing rapidly as more of us embrace and surround ourselves with vintage and romance! Let me know - I'd love for you to meet them.
Please take care - you work so hard - and make time for enjoying the holiday season.

Wonderful photos and ideas as always. Would you please explain what a shower steamer is?
Posted by: Jacki | December 13, 2007 at 06:30 AM
Fifi, You are one lucky lady receiving all those glittery pretties.
Thank you for working on my most recent PRIDE and JOY, the Romantic Country feature "Proper English". It is beyond my wildest dreams to be featured once again in a Harris Publications.
This issue is BY FAR my all time favorite. I love each and every story and it is jammed packed with ideas.
My favorite article in the "Mercury Glass". When I happened upon your photos of your mantel, I was hooked. I have been buying it for everyone I know for holiday presents while throwing one of each in the bag for me.
I love the beauty and creativity of your wonderful blog.
I hope you meet your deadlines and have a chance to kick back and enjoy your holiday season.
Lots of hugs,
Cathy ~ treasured heirlooms.

Good afternoon Dear Fifi!
The trinkets look so happy in your home. They seemed to say "send us to Fifi's enchanted cottage of beauty"! How could I say no?
You are correct, Debbie, Monique and I better get ourselves into blogland, especially with all the pressure you're giving us. I am just starting my blog, so I will let you know once it's up and going, I am so excited about it. Now come on Monique & Debbie, are you starting too?
Love Sylvie's notebook and pillow covers - talent runs in the family.
Fifi, to answer your question ~ you are a kind, creative and most of all sharing lady. You always share your sources with us fellow lovers of all things romantic, that's why you deserve frou frou treatment. Your ideas are out of this world ~ thank you, I'm off to work on my pot rack full of votives and loads of ribbon and I will be making star croutons this weekend with herbes de Provence for my husband, he even puts herbes de Provence on his nachos (different I know!), so I know they will be a hit in this cottage! Yum....
Vous inspirez tellement beaucoup!

J'adore les petits protège-cahiers de ta soeur Fifi ! surtout celui marqué "Amour" ...
Soigner l'emballage est aussi important qu'un cadeau ! Les rubans en sont la preuve !!!

Everything looks as gorgeous as ever! You girls can buy such great things in the US! I love glitter and I realy like those glittery signs but you cannot buy them on thise side of the globe. At least not here in the Netherlands... Funny to see how a lot of things are sooo different around the globe. I think we tend to go a bit more to the Scandinavian style overhere.
I absolutely LOVE the wonderful things your sweet sister makes. Those fabrics are so me! I think she is a real talent! Good to see we do have pretty things and talented women on this side of the pond!!!
